Two brothers gunned down
LAKKI MARWAT: Two brothers were shot dead and their father sustained injuries when rivals allegedly opened fire on them in Mastikhel village on Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred in the limits of Tajori Police Station and they had arrested one of the killers along with a rifle used in the crime. They said that the deceased and injured belonged to Bhittani tribe.
Giving details of the incident, the police said that Naser Khan, his sons Abdul Jalil Khan and Nadeem Khan were sitting near the road when their rivals reached there on motorcycles and allegedly opened fire on them. “The father and his sons sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a hospital in Tajori town,” said an official, adding, Abdul Jalil Khan and Nadeem Khan succumbed to their injuries on way to Bannu. They said that the bodies were handed over to the relatives for burial after fulfilling formalities.
Police claimed that they had arrested a killer Fidaullah and seized a Kalakov rifle from him soon after the incident. They said that a case had been registered against the arrested man and his fleeing accomplices under the relevant section of law.
Also on Wednesday, DPO Asif Gohar paid a visit to judicial complex to check security arrangements and deployment of cops. DSP Inam Gandapur also accompanied him.
