SCB launches programme for women
KARACHI: The Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited on Wednesday announced the launch of women in tech programme, a global initiative, aimed at supporting greater diversity in gender representation within technology-based entrepreneurship, a statement said on Wednesday.
The bank will focus on capacity-building for women-owned small enterprises, it added.
The programme will target women-led entrepreneurial teams and imparts them training, mentorship and seed funding. There will be an open call for participation leading to a final selection of up to top 25 contestants with the most compelling ideas, it said.
At the end of the training period, up to five winners will be chosen and each winner will be awarded up to $10,000 to invest in their businesses, the statement said.
