Police arrested a man on Thursday for kidnapping his own minor son in the Khawaja Ajmer Nagri area of Karachi.
Police officials said eighteen-month-old Abdul Sami was kidnapped from outside his home in North Karachi within the limits of the Khawaja Ajmer Nagri police station on Wednesday.
The family had approached the police over the incident. After registering a case on behalf of the victim’s mother, the police started an investigation and later arrested the boy’s father, Javed, with the help of CCTV footage and technical data.
Police officials said the suspect told the police that he wanted to get some money from his in-laws and therefore he with the help of his friend kidnapped his own son.
A case has been registered and the investigations are continuing.
