Five persons awarded lifetime jail
Rawalpindi : The Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) No. 1, Rawalpindi Judge Muhammad Asghar Khan on Saturday has awarded lifetime jail and 75 years imprisonment, also ordered to confiscate all moveable and immoveable property of five accused involved in terrorist activities.
On September 17, 2018, CTD police had arrested five accused named Sher Hasan, Rizwanullah, Muhammad Adnan, Lal Din and Malik Jan from Margala Chowk. The accused were coming from Peshawar. The CTD police had recovered suicide jackets, hand grenades, weapons and guns from their custody on the occasion.
The court has given decision on the basis of strong evidences. The court has awarded lifetime jail and 14 years imprisonment for each accused. The court also awarded 5 years imprisonment and fine of Rs500,000 against an accused Malik Jan in weapon recovery case.
In another case of terrorism, an Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) No-III, Rawalpindi Judge Abdul Raheem Saturday has awarded five years imprisonment and ordered to confiscate all property of two accused.
On July 19, 2018, Rawat Police had arrested two accused; Lal Khan and Tahir Mehmood and recovered dangerous weapons from their custody on the occasion.
