Four killed by relatives over land dispute in Moro

SUKKUR: A land dispute claimed the lives of four members of a family at Haji Noor Muhammad Rajpar village in Moro on Friday.

The assailants attacked a house and carried out indiscriminate firing on the inmates leaving four people dead and injuring one boy. The bodies were identified as that of Muhammad Hassan, Waheed, Khadim and Jumman Mugheri. The injured was identified as Ali Sher Mugheri. The bodies were shifted to the village Sultan Bugti in Larkana where their funeral prayers were offered.

The injured Ali Sher told the police that his uncles Darya Khan, Ahmed Nawaz and others had killed his family members over a land dispute. He alleged that they wanted to take over their nine acres land and due to the dispute they had shifted to Karachi. He said he along with other family members had returned recently to work on the lands of the local landlord Gul Khan when the tragedy occurred. The police said they have registered the murder case against the accused.

Meanwhile, the Shikarpur Police shot dead two alleged criminals near the Sindh-Balochistan border on Friday. The police claimed that the alleged criminals were trying rob bus passengers. When the police reached the spot, they opened fire on them, which was retaliated. The exchange of fire left two of the alleged criminals identified as Hafeez Brohi and Abdullah Brohi dead. The police recovered two Kalashnikovs and a TT pistol from their possession.

In another incident, an unknown armed man shot and killed a passenger and injured two others including a bus cleaner at Afzal Chowk, Gambat, in Khairpur. A Lahore-bound bus had stopped at the Azfal Chowk when an unknown passenger opened fire on two fellow passengers, identified as real brothers named Fazl Ali Rattar who was killed while Muhammed Zahid was injured. The bus cleaner, Umair Ahmed, was also injured. The attacker escaped.
