Security tightened in Lahore

LAHORE: Security across the provincial metropolis has been tightened on the eve of Shab-e-Baraat.At least 19,000 police officials were deployed at various places, including mosques, imambargahs, important buildings, residences, parks, bus stands and Railway Station.The divisional SPs were directed to ensure checking at entry and exit points, increase patrolling, conduct search operations in hotels, hostels, rest houses, bus stands and keep check on anti-social elements. Police conducted thorough search of vehicles at Babu Sabu Interchange, Old and New Ravi Bridge, Chuhng and Suggian.
