Karakorum Express derails near Khanpur

KHANPUR: The engine and several bogies of the Karakorum Express derailed near Khanpur on wee hours of Monday, no casualties were reported. According to Police rescue sources, the driver stopped the train in time avoiding a major railway crash that could have led to fatalities. The train’s speed was slow which helped everyone escape unscathed. The train was en-route from Karachi to Lahore, the sources said.
