Cricketer Javed Popee passes away

ISLAMABAD: Renowned Rawalpindi first class cricketer Shahid Javed Popee has died following cardiac arrest which he suffered while playing a cricket match at Pindi Stadium on Friday.
The former Habib Bank first class cricketer was also selected for Pakistan national camp on many occasions but could not find his place in the team due to tough competition.
He was also a member of the PCB coaching panel and was uncle of Afzal Javed, president Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA). His Namaz-i-Jinaza will be offered at Muslim Cricket Ground at 11am today (Saturday).
