No compromise on Kashmir issue: Sarwar

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that India has to decide whether it wants peace or war.

"We are ready for both; there will be no compromise on Kashmir issue. The decisions of National Security Committee (NSC) are manifestation of the nation’s desires" said the Punjab governor while talking to a delegation of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, UK and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ashaan Mani at Governor’s House on Friday.

"We have always tried to solve the problems by dialogue but India has war hysteria. The United Nations should play its role in solution to Kashmir crisis because the voice of Kashmiris cannot be repressed by bullets," he said.

He said Pakistan was a peace-loving country and had given great sacrifices in the war on terror. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar also said the revival of international cricket in Pakistan was certain due to PSL. He said the government would cooperate with PCB for the purpose.

India warned against water aggression: Tanzeem-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Aakif Saeed has warned that India is waging water war against Pakistan by stopping rivers flow into the country despite that Indus Water Treaty is in place and binding on both countries.

In a statement Friday, he said water war could be more dangerous for Pakistan because all former rulers, including civilian and military had committed treachery against our nation by not constructing dams in the country, thus failing to address the water crisis in Pakistan.

He termed Indian PM Narendra Modi an embodiment of bigotry, prejudice and narrow-mindedness, adding that his behaviour transformed Indian nation where all minorities especially the Muslims were being brutally persecuted and oppressed. He said after Pulwama incident, the Muslim individuals and families were being attacked, houses of Kashmiris living in India were being burnt and Kashmiri students in various educational institutions were being tortured by Hindu mobs.

He said though Indian threats of full-scale war appeared to be hollow, yet Pakistan must be fully prepared. He said it must be understood that no amount of arms and nukes would suffice unless Allah Almighty helps us against enemies.

To seek the help and support of Allah (SWT), we ought to totally and unconditionally submit to the Will of Allah Almighty and the dictates of His Messenger (PBUH), as a nation. The real work required is to demonstrate practical loyalty to Allah Almighty and His Messenger (PBUH), and fulfil the promise made during the Pakistan Movement that “Pakistan would be a genuine Islamic Welfare State”.
