Cheque, job for officials’ relatives
LAHORE: Punjab Emergency Service/Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer on Friday presented a cheque for more than Rs 4.3 million as financial compensation to the family of an official who died in the line of duty besides presenting an appointment letter of computer telephone wireless operator (CTWO) to the widow of another martyred official.
The cheque was given to Muhammad Tufail, father of martyred official Ehsan Tufail in a ceremony held at Emergency Services Headquarters here. The appointment letter was given to the widow of martyred Zulfiqar Abbasi who worked as CTWO at Rawalpindi. Ahsan Tufail had joined the Rescue 1122 as emergency medical technician (EMT) on November 5, 2018. He died when his motorbike ambulance was hit by a car while he was responding to a road accident emergency on Nov 10, 2018 on Ferozepur Road, Lahor.
Zulfiqar Abbasi had been serving as CTWO in Rawalpindi district when he suffered a heart attack and he later died on Nov 24, 2018 during his heart surgery.
