KARACHI: PHF president Brig (rtd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar has been elected as vice president of Asian Hockey Federation (AHF).
The PHF president was elected unopposed at a meeting held in Tokyo. Representatives of 27 Asian countries participated in the AHF meeting. After his election, Khokhar said that he would try his best to promote hockey in the region. He said that PHF was trying hard for Pakistan to achieve its lost glory in the world of hockey. He added that Pakistan was a safe country for international hockey events. “We will soon organise international hockey competitions in the country,” said Khokhar, who returns home on Sunday (tomorrow).
