NEW DELHI: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has ordered the release of 850 Indian prisoners lodged in jails in his country on the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, read a statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
According to an Indian media report, along with the release of the prisoners, the External Affairs Ministry said the Saudi crown prince has also announced the increase in quota for Indian Haj pilgrims to 2 lakh at the request of PM Modi.
