Awards distributed at university ceremony
PESHAWAR: The national level mega technology competition NUTEC-2019 awards distribution ceremony was held at the FAST University.
Senator Nauman Wazir was the chief guest. Justice (r) Mian Ajmal Khan, member, Board of Governors, FAST National University, was the guest of honour at the ceremony.
A number of dignitaries, corporate luminaries, sponsors, and leading academics from universities attended the closing ceremony.
The chief guest emphasised the importance of a close collaboration between industry and academia to form robust linkages to stitch up theory and practice dichotomies.
Senator Nauman Wazir hoped such creative initiatives would help bridge the gap between the industry and academia by providing a platform to students to exhibit their talents.
The chief guest awarded certificates of participation and prizes to the winners of competitions in computer sciences, electrical engineering, sports and social events. Justice (r) Mian Ajmal Khan, stressed the importance of various stakeholders in a university which includes students, parents, teachers, industry and so on. He emphasised the importance of human development through inculcating the spirit of patriotism and skill building in youth because to develop future leaders.
