Rawalpindi: The anti-corruption team in the presence of Civil Judge, Rawalpindi Shoib Tariq Tuesday arrested Muhammad Nasir, working as peon in Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Rawalpindi, taking bribe of Rs20,000 for changing name in the result card.
The anti-corruption has registered FIR under Sections of 161 and 420 against the accused. The court has directed anti-corruption to investigate the matter to find out the real culprits behind the issue.
The complainant Muhammad Naveed has filed an application in anti-corruption department, Rawalpindi, in which he told that peon Muhammad Nasir demanded Rs20,000 as ‘bribe’ for changing the name in original result card of Matric.
Anti-Corruption Establishment, Rawalpindi Assistant Director (Complaint) Muhammad Attique told ‘The News’ that they have arrested the accused red handed and took money in custody. The FIR has been registered against the accused and investigating the issue to find out real culprits behind it, he said.
