Pakistan is perhaps the only country in the world where the federal and provincial governments have repeatedly believed in the benefits of constituting committees to properly investigate any fraudulent activities committed by either government officials or civilians. There is a general impression in our country that such committees are only constituted to create further complications in these cases, These committees often create unnecessary delays and do little to ensure that cases are tackled in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Our administrative departments and their line offices need to be made more efficient. Only then can we start trusting them and, by extension, the committees they constitute to investigate any misdeeds.
