The Punjab Board of Revenue (BoR) has collected around Rs 32.089 billion against a target of Rs 42.039 billion for the fiscal year 2014-15 till April 2015.
The revenue has been collected under different heads including Stamp Duty Rs 17.259 billion/91 percent of the target, Capital Value Tax Rs 4.163 billion/77 percent, Registration Fee Rs 628 million/39 percent, Land Revenue Rs 8.551 billion/73 percent, Agriculture Income Tax Rs 653 million/32 percent and Water Rate Rs 835 million/37 percent.
Talking to The News, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Nadeem Ashraf said the BoR had collected a record number of revenue under the head of Stamp Duty in comparison with the past years. Top a question, the senior revenue officer said the total revenue target would be achieved till the end of the fiscal year i.e. June 2015.
