CHAKWAL: On the appeal of the Pakistan Bar Council, the District Bar Association members on Tuesday observed a complete strike to condemn May 12 killings in Karachi.
All judicial work remained suspended at Chakwal, Talagang and Choa Saidan Shah as no lawyer appeared before the courts. DBA president Ch Iftikhar Ahmed and secretary general Ch Ahmed Raza demanded the government take action against those elements which were behind the incident.
College’s teacher murdered

CHAKWAL: A teacher of a private college was murdered at Millat Chowk on Tuesday.
Ghulam Yaseen and his son Faheem were sitting in their medical store when accused Arif, Abdul Khaliq, Muhammad Jazee, his brothers Muhammad Zameer and Muhammad Safeer and their 10 accomplices stormed into their medical store. Later, accused Arif and Abdul Khaliq allegedly stabbed Faheem to death. Ghulam Yaseen was also injured in the incident. City police have registered a case.
