GCU’s two students to get training in Denmark

LAHORE
Pakistan Red Crescent Society Punjab has nominated two students of Government College University Lahore Disaster Risk Management Society Hafiz Ali Haider and Waqar Ahmad Chandio for the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Youth Leadership Academic Training which is going to be held in August this year at Valikielde High School Copenhagen Denmark.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the two students have fulfilled the tough criteria of Pakistan Red Crescent Society Punjab and outclassed their competitors belonging to other institutions.
Government College University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman and Disaster Risk Management Society Adviser Iqtidar Mirza congratulated Hafiz Ali Haider and Waqar Ahmad Chandio.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, in declamation contest, GCU student Awais Malik stood first in Urdu, while Ahmed Ch was second in the English.
In parliamentary debate, GCU team, comprising of Hamza Abbas and Hassan Qadeer, lifted the prestigious team trophy. It is pertinent to mention that GCU Debating Society had set an unprecedented record of winning 285 oratory awards last year and they were likely to break their record this year.
GCU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman appreciated the excellence of GCU orators at the national and international level.
