KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) expressed its concern over foreign intervention aimed at destabilising Pakistan.
The concern was expressed at a joint meeting of the MQM Coordination Committee held in Karachi and London in which the overall situation of the country was discussed in detail. It was said in the meeting that the MQM was the only representative party of the descendants of the founders of Pakistan and the oppressed and downtrodden people.
The meeting said the MQM was working to win back the usurped rights of the poor and middle-class people of Pakistan. The MQM was struggling for national security and despite all injustices, the loyalty of the MQM towards Pakistan remained unblemished.
The meeting condemned the resolution passed against Altaf Hussain and the ‘disgusting’ statements being issued by various political and religious parties after his recent speech. It was said that those who were making unwarranted criticism of Altaf Hussain’s speech had themselves used disparaging remarks about the army.
The law and order situation in the country was also discussed. The meeting showed its concerned over the infiltration of foreign agents in various parts of the country for spreading unrest. It was said that foreign powers, particularly the Indian spy agency RAW, was spreading anarchy in Balochistan, Sindh, Fata and other parts of the country. It was trying to destabilise Pakistan by creating a law and order situation. The Indian army was violating the Line of Control (LoC), which was highly condemnable.
It was decided in the meeting that the MQM would continue to pursue the goal of a liberal, enlightened, democratic and progressive Pakistan according to the ideals of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal despite all odds. Hopefully a day would come when the obsolete feudal system would be eliminated and Pakistan would join the ranks of the developed countries of the world.
In the end prayers were offered for the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism in Pakistan. It was reiterated that the struggle for achieving the objectives of the MQM and making Pakistan proud would continue till its last breath.
