Target killings

The ugly face of targeted killing has resurfaced in Karachi. According to media reports, more than 2500 people were killed in such target attacks during 2013 in Karachi.
The recent killing of Sabeen Mahmud and Dr Waheed-ur-Rehman threw a spanner in the works of law-enforcement agencies. Target killings in Karachi are not new. It is the consistent failure of law-enforcement agencies that is the real problem.
