Motorcyclist dies in accident

HAFIZABAD: A motorcyclist was killed when a speeding truck hit him near Qila bypass chowk Hafizabad.
Arslan Manzoor, son of Muhammad Ashraf, of Madhora Kalan locality was going to Hafizabad with his friend Manzoor Hussain on a motorcycle. When they reached near Qila bypass chowk, a speeding truck coming from the opposite side hit them, leaving Arslan dead on the spot and Manzoor injured critically.
HUNGER STRIKE: Contract employees of Water Management Monday observed a hunger strike and took out a protest rally. Water Management employees association offices bearers Nasir Abbas, Amir Shehzad and Syed Iftikhar Shah led the rally and urged the government to regularize them.
The participants of the rally raised slogans in favour of their demands.
They demanded regularization otherwise they said they would stage a sit-in outside the Punjab Assembly building.
MAN ELECTROCUTED: A man was electrocuted in village Husseke near Hafizabad.
Muhammad Asif was working at a harvesting machine that hit an electricity wire during its working. As a result, Asif suffered a fatal electric shock and died on the spot.
