Blatant hooliganism

This refers to the news report, ‘Landlord razes girls’ school for refusing job to his favourite’ (April 20). The school was located in a small town in Jacobabad. It was razed by a local landlord and girders and bricks were also taken away from the place.
It seems there is no writ of the provincial government in interior Sindh and feudal lords continue to wield enormous influence in their respective areas. Police officials and the local administration owe allegiance to landlords while poor people are treated as slaves and have no access to justice.
