The City School, Cantonment Nursery Branch, Rawalpindi, organised a colourful Annual Sports Day with the title ‘Born to Run’ at Pasban Sports Complex, Westridge. The chief guest of the programme was ex-Pakistani cricketer Muhammad Wasim.
The whole arena was set up in a very colourful manner to capture the attention of the audience. The inauguration commenced with the ‘walk past’ followed by torch-lighting ceremony. The guests were given a warm welcome by an enchanting display of Play-Group students. Little butterflies of Nursery and KG amused the audience by their aerobics performance. Besides this, PT & Taekwondo display was another pulsating presentation.
After these performances, formal competitions of races and games started which were enthusiastically enjoyed by all. In the end, ‘Flat Race’ of mothers and fathers added a zest to the event. The judges for the day were experienced sport teachers who guided all sport events of the day with their fair and unbiased judgments. The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony.
Headmistress Rumana Ahmed along with teachers and administration members pondered the month-long practice sessions side-by-side academics.
Later, principal Moazzam Manawar Sheikh thanked parents for their participation and making the event a success.
