Girl’s killing mystery resolved

CHAKWAL: The mystery of a 20-year-old girl who went missing five days ago has been solved and the city police Chakwal arrested the killer and recovered the dead body.
Maria Batool, of Mohallah Sargojra, went missing five days ago and on the tip-off Sub Inspector Sikandar Hayat arrested her neighbour Arslan Ghulam Rasool, 25, who had developed illicit ties with her. The accused took her from her home and tried to rape her. When she resisted he strangulated her and threw the body in a wheat crop field on Sargodha bypass.
Police recovered the body.
MINISTER VISITS STALLS: Provincial Minister for Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sundho Tuesday visited the stalls of ghee and cooking oil at ‘Sasta Bazaar’.
DCO Mehmood Jawaid Bhatti, DPO Dr Moeen Masood and other official were with the minister.
The minster was told that 25 price control magistrate have been appointed to monitor the prices of essentials accommodates. The magistrate checked 922 points during the last seven days, 112 violations were observed, and a fine of more than Rs 1 lakh was imposed, three cases were registered and three shopkeepers were arrested.
The minster directed the district administration to ensure reduction of Rs 15 per kg in ghee and cooking oil price as fixed by the Punjab government.
The minster also presided over the meeting of purchase of wheat in district Chakwal.
The DCO told the minster that 1,000 metric tons wheat would be purchased at Cakwal centre while 500 metric tons wheat would be purchased at tehsil Talagang centre and both these two centres have been made operational. The minster directed that the farmers must be facilitated and all the facilities must be provided to them. The minster also visited the purchase centre of Chakwal and got information regarding the arrangements of the centre.
