PML-N MPA accuses party MNA of using abusive language

TOBA TEK SINGH: PML-N MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq has blamed his party’s MNA from Kamalia Ch Asadur Rehman for using abusive language against him during a discussion in a meeting at the DCO office on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he claimed that MNA Asad also allegedly attempted to hit him with a chair, however, due to intervention of MNAs Khalid Warraich and Junaid Anwaar and MPAs Amjad Javed and Ayub Gadhi, he was saved from the attack.
He said that it was a routine of MNA Asad to abuse officers, his voters, his fellow parliamentarians and the general public. He demanded PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif take notice of the issue and suspend the MNA before holding an inquiry into the incident.
He also asked DCO Waqas Alam not to discard the CCTV footage of the incident and to provide him a copy of footage so that he could get register a case against him. Mian Rafiq announced that he would raise his voice against the MNA in the next Punjab Assembly session. He asked the Nation Assembly members to remove MNA Asad from the chairmanship of standing committee on the house privilege. When contacted, MNA Asad admitted that he used abusive language against Mian Rafiq when he insulted him during discussion in the meeting.
