SUKKUR: The third death anniversary of Chairman Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Bashir Khan Qureshi was observed on Wednesday in Ratodero.
Thousands of JSQM activists from across Sindh attended the programme and laid floral wreaths on the grave of Bashir Khan Qureshi. The activists paid tributes to Bashir Khan. Bashir Qureshi’s son Sannan Qureshi addressed the people on the occasion. He alleged the establishment and the State were responsible for the assassination of his father, because he had led a huge rally on 23rd March 2012 in Karachi for the sovereignty of Sindh, which was not tolerable to the establishment.
Sannan said his father was a follower of GM Syed and had re-strengthened the party in Sindh. He claimed the people of Sindh were leading a miserable life and have become slaves of the establishment, which settled aliens in Sindh who usurped all resources of Sindh like gas, petrol, coal, etc.
He said there was unemployment and lawlessness in Sindh, while there is terrorism, extremism, suicide bombings in the land of the peace-loving people of Sindh. He mentioned that JSQM workers were being arrested and jailed without fulfilling legal requirements.
He announced protests and demonstrations across Sindh on 23rd April against the arrest of JSQM workers. Many other JSQM leaders addressed on the occasion.
