LAHORE: The residents of Sant Nagar area in NA-125 have demanded the Lesco high-ups take notice of excessive and unscheduled power outages in their area.
They said staff at Bhatti Gate sub-division was unable to manage load from Saggian Feeder and Riwaz Garden Feeder owing to which locals had to bear excessive power cuts in extremely hot and humid weather on daily basis.
A resident, Mirza Saleem, said the area on main Dev Smaj Road was particularly affected as sub-division recently divided the power load.
He said despite repeated requests the Bhatti Gate sub-division staff was not paying heed to the issue of excessive and unscheduled power outages. Another local, Rana Tanveer, said people of the area were facing excessive power outages particularly at the middle of the night which was greatly disturbing them.
He said people were helpless as the staff at night duty did not respond calls for complaint registration. They demanded the Lesco high-ups take notice of the issue and provide relief to them.
When contacted Bhatti Gate SDO Shakaib said earlier the issue could not be resolved because of rains. He, however, claimed it would be resolved in a couple of days.
