Tax defaulters warned of stern action

BHAKKAR: Bhakkar Deputy Commissioner Income Tax Tauqir Ahmed Sajra Tuesday asked tax defaulters to deposit their dues latest by April 10, 2015.
Talking to reporters, Tauqir said after the expiry of the deadline, properties of the defaulters would be confiscated and they would be arrested.
NO EXPLOITATION IN WHEAT PURCHASE: DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo Tuesday said role of middle-men in purchase of wheat would not be tolerated.
Chairing a meeting held in connection with reviewing arrangements made at wheat centres, the DCO said farmers friendly policies will be ensured from the start and end of wheat purchase and nobody would be allowed to exploit farmers.
He warned the Food Inspector of stern action if he was found involved in dealing with middleman.
He said purchase procedure would be made transparent.
FAKE CURRENCY: Traders have urged relevant authorities to take action against elements who are involved in fake currency in the district.
