PESHAWAR: The Floral Art Show held in the city Tuesday was dedicated to the brave and strong people of Peshawar.
The annual show was organized by the Peshawar chapter of the Floral Art Society of Pakistan. It was staged at the Peshawar Garrison Club.People from different walks of life, mostly women, visited the club to enjoy the Floral Art Show. Women displayed talent and their love for flowers by artistically displaying their floral art.
The event is regularly held every year when spring arrives and flowers are in bloom. The show this year was special as it was dedicated to the resilient people of Peshawar who have refused to be cowed down by the frequent acts of terrorism, including the most brutal terrorist attack on the Army Public School and College on December 16, 2014.
The Floral Art Society of Pakistan, Peshawar chapter, was founded in 2008. Besides holding its annual floral art show, the Peshawar unit launched its magazine named “Floral Inspiration” a few years ago. The magazine is now regularly published on the occasion of the annual show.
Johar Jamal, president of the Peshawar chapter, led the club’s members to organize this year’s floral art show. Its secretary Shahana Zubair assisted her while Nabiela Pervez edited the magazine. As usual, the Peshawar chapter’s founding president Fareeda Tariq Nishtar gave time and advice to the organizers of the floral art show.
