Iranian investors must take advantage of improved law & order: Zubair

Governor lauds Iranian government for undertaking relief efforts in Sindh Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair said on Saturday that Pakistan and Iran had historical relations and both countries were tied in a bond of Islamic brotherhood.

This he said while talking at an Iftar-dinner hosted by Consul General of Iran Ahmad Mohammadi.

Zubair said that the people of both countries had love and affection for each other, which was being cemented with the passage of time. “Many Pakistanis travel to Iran frequently to visit the sacred places there,” he added.

While lauding the role of the Irani government in providing relief in a time of need, Zubair said that Iran had always taken the lead in case of any natural disaster or calamity in the province. “The people of Sindh are thankful to their Iranian brothers for their positive gestures over the years,” he said.

The governor said Karachi had completely changed in the past five years with regards to the law and order situation. “Now there is a conducive atmosphere for investment here, which is being appreciated and exploited by global investors,” he said, adding that investors from Iran must also avail this opportunity and invest in their field of choice.

Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, Deputy Speaker Syeda Shehla Raza, former chief ministers Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Syed Ghous Ali Shah, diplomats from other Islamic countries and prominent members of the business community also attended the Iftar dinner.
