PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should stop fooling the nation with attractive and imaginary claims.

Talking to The News on Monday, the former federal minister said that the PTI chairman should come out of the imaginary world and tell the nation as to how and wherefrom he would provide jobs to 10 million people and construct houses for five million. “Is he not aware of the financial position of his country and province?” he asked.

Khwaja Hoti said the PTI chairman should tell the nation as to how much loan his party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had borrowed during the last five years.

He said the PTI government had overburdened the innocent people of KP by making false promises and talking about imaginary projects.

The PPP leader hoped the politically conscious people would compare the performance of the PTI government with the attractive announcements and hollow claims before casting votes in the upcoming general election.

He said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should hold investigation as to how the precious land in Malam Jabba in Swat was given on lease and why the contract of Mardan municipality was allotted to the relative of a provincial minister.

He questioned why the contract of the Bus Rapid Transit project in Peshawar was given to a blacklisted company.

He said the work on this mega project was initiated without comprehensive planning. “This is why several changes were made to the BRT during construction work, enhancing its cost and creating problems for the people,” he added.
