PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Khan Mahsud suspended three policemen of the Sarho Shah Police Station in Mardan on the charge of torturing a citizen.
The suspended cops included Sub-Inspector Hakim Khan, head constable Rashid and constable Irshad. Meanwhile, Senior Superintendents of Police (Operations) Peshawar Javed Iqbal suspended Assistant Sub-Inspector Aurangzeb Khan and constables Aftab Khan and Yar Mohammad for torturing a citizen. DSP Syed Atiq Shah was appointed inquiry officer to probe the allegation.
