Rawalpindi : Former Member National Assembly Hanif Abbasi has said that the successive governments of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) have completed record uplift projects in Rawalpindi and hoped that the city would remain a PML-N fort in the upcoming general elections under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
Abbasi was talking to media at an Iftar reception hosted by veteran party leader Peerzada Rahat Masood Quddusi. City leaders Mayor Sardar Naseem Ahmed Khan, Malik Ibrar Ahmad, Malik Shakeel Awan, Chaudhry Ayaz, Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh, Ziaullah Shah, Malik Iftikhar, Seema Jillani, Zaibun Nisa, Lubna Rehan Peerzada, Sardar Tariq, Raja Mushtaq, Chaudhry Inaam Zafar, Najma Hameed, Sajjad Khan, Attaullah Satti, Nadeem Paracha, Shahbaz Goshi, Chaudhry Tariq, Sardar Tariq, Raja Mushtaq, Khaliq Hussain Bhatti, Haji Jameel and Haji Waseem were also resent on the occasion.
A large number of tehsil council members, Cantt Board members, union council chaimen, deputy chairmen, former UC nazims, naib-nazims, councilors and woman councilors also attended the iftar.
Malik Ibrar on the occasion said that people of Rawalpindi still pose their confidence into the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif despite his disqualification. He said the League leaders will defend the city against all odds and hoped that all the nominated MNAs and MPAs will succeed in the upcoming general elections.
Malik Shakeel Awan in his address promised completion of more uplift projects once the new PML-N government sworn in. He said the PML-N leaders would leave no stone unturned for the triumph of party representatives in the coming elections.Tahira Aurangzeb, Raja Hanif Advocate and other party leaders also addressed the gathering.
