No country can progress by hollow slogans: Bilawal
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that no country could develop and prosper by hollow slogans and false promises.
“A country can only prosper when the labourers and growers of the country are economically emancipated,” he said while talking to different delegations which called on him at Zardari House here on Monday.
Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani along with Raees Nabil who recently joined the PPP called on PPP chairman and discussed issues of caretaker setup, elections and politics in South Punjab.
Office-bearer of PPP Khyber Pukhtunkhwa including Humayun Khan, Faisal Karim Kundi, Senator Rubina Khalid, Senator Behramand Tangi and Akhundzada Chattan called on Bilawal. PPPP Secretary General Farhatullah Babar, PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Jamil Ahmed Soomro and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar were also present on the occasion.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari instructed office-bearers of the party to involve senior PPP workers in election campaign as they were strength of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and they are still his own strength.
He asked how a person who could not build a single hospital, university and college in KP in the last five years can build the entire country. He said that PPP gave identity to Pakhtuns and only PPP guarantees prosperity of Pakhtuns.
