Mayor Wasim Akhtar has directed the technical services department of the KMC not to accept any request of utility services providers for digging up roads which have been newly constructed or recently rehabilitated through local government projects. The mayor said that these roads had been part of the city’s basic infrastructure; therefore, their protection was essential.
