Two killed as speeding bus overturns
Two people were killed and seven others were injured when a speeding passenger bus toppled over on Sunday in Korangi.
According to rescue volunteers, the bus overturned at Korangi Vita Chowrangi as the driver was speeding on the road. The police impounded the vehicle and started an investigation after registering a case.
The deceased and the injured were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. Separately, a man was killed and two others were injured in a road accident at the Northern Bypass.
According to rescue sources, 25-year-old Faraz, son of Zulfiqar, was hit by a speeding vehicle as a result of which he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot while 11-year-old Sameer, son of Roshan, and 18-year-old Awais were critically injured.
The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.
