TOBA TEK SINGH: City police on Friday booked a security guard and another man for attempting to rape a woman who was staying in the Darul Aman on a court order. The complainant woman, a resident of Chak 330/JB Seowal, informed the police that her brother-in-law (husband’s younger brother) allegedly attempted to rape her in her house. She said that when she told her husband about the incident, he did not believe and pushed her out of his house. Later, the woman appeared before a judicial magistrate few weeks ago who sent her to the Darul Aman on her request. During her stay in the Darul Aman, accused security guard Sohail and a former employee of the Darul Aman Sharif allegedly attempted to rape her.
One-year-old child burnt alive: A one-year-old baby burnt alive when fire broke out in his house at Iqbal Town, Gojra, on Friday. Abu Bakr, son of Shahzad, was sleeping in his room when suddenly fire broke out due to short circuit. As a result, he was burnt alive. The child’s mother Humera also sustained burns during the incident. Later, fire fighters extinguished the fire.
