LAHORE: Around 150 electricity workers died in different incidents while performing their duties and thousands of Wapda workers became disabled in 17 months, said a trade union representatives in a conference held to observe Safety Day on Tuesday at Bakhtiar Labour Hall. They said incidents happened because the Wapda employees were not given safety equipment. The trade union leaders demanded decent and reasonable compensations for the families of the workers who died during their duties.
