‘Problems on Baba Bhit Island to be resolved’

The city commissioner met the residents of the Baba Bhit Shah Island in his office on Thursday and assured them of early resolution of problems being faced by the locality.
Shoaib Siddiqi said civic agencies were improving standard of their services to make the city clean and green.
He informed the visitors that Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has directed the administrative officials to visit the areas under their respective jurisdiction so as to be aware of the grievances of the people relating to the civic issues and needs.
Administrator District Municipal Corporation South Afzal Zaidi, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials and others were also present at the meeting. The commissioner said Baba Bhit Island is the 300 years old locality and has historic importance.
