Man strangled over monetary dispute

SIALKOT: Five people, including a father and his two sons, Tuesday night strangled a man of Faisalabad over a monetary dispute. According to police accused Mumtaz Ahmaed, his sons Nasir Mumtaz and Faisal Mumtaz and their accomplices had tortured and strangled Muhammad Raees Aslam in Pindi Bhago village in the limits of Sabzpir police station. They accused staged a drama of suicide after killing the victim. The deceased had a monitory dispute with the accused. The police have registered a murder case against the accused and arrested them.

DETAINED: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Wednesday detained 10 people when they arrived from Turkey at Sialkot International Airport. The detainees were deported from Turkey for their illegal travel and stay there. Cases have been registered against the accused who were shifted to FIA Gujranwala for further investigations.

27 held for setting off fireworks: Police arrested 27 people from different locations for setting off fireworks during ‘Shab-e-Baraat’ prayers on Tuesday night.

Kotwali police, Hajipura police, Qila Kallerwala police, Cantonment police, Phalora police, Sambrial police, City Pasroor police and Bambanwala police arrested accused Naeeem, Javed, Munir, Tahir, Ahmed, Ghuzanfar, Shahid, Iftikhar, Baber Masih and others The Bambanwala police recovered hundreds of packs of fireworks from accused Asad Ali. Cases have been registered against the accused.

GIRL DIES IN ROAD MISHAP: A girl was killed in a collision between a truck and a motorcycle on Wednesday. According to police, Ameen and his wife Sakeena Bibi and their daughter Tayyba, 15, were moving on a motorcycle when a speeding truck hit them near Bhaloor village, leaving Tayyba dead on the spot. However, miraculously, her parents were unhurt. The police arrested the driver and registered a case against him.
