LAHORE: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that continuation of democratic system is of utmost importance for the strengthening of institutions and economy of the country.
Speaking at the annual dinner of Old Ravians Association (ORA) at a local hotel, he said people have the right to elect their representatives through their votes and they should be let to decide who is right and who is wrong.
The governor further said there shouldn’t be criticism for the sake of criticism rather criticism should be constructive to introduce reforms in the society.
Renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, veteran lawyer SM Zafar, former governor of Sindh Kamal Azfar, former Vice-Chancellor Government College University (GCU) Dr Khaliq-ur-Rehman, former IG Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema, Khalid Abbas Dar, Usman Pirzada and a large number of old Ravians attended the ceremony.
