TOBA TEK SINGH: Rallies against the Drug Act 2017 were taken out at Gojra, Kamalia and Pirmahal on Sunday by the medical store owners.
Medical stores also remain closed on fourth consecutive day on the call of Chemists and Druggists Association of the district. A rally was taken out from Jhang Road and culminated at Shahbaz Chowk. District Chemists and Druggists Association president Mian Imran Manzoor said the strike will continue till indefinite period. He said the Drug Act 2017 was a black law under which medical stores were being sealed by the government officials on different pretexts but this illegal practice will give nothing to the country except leaving a large number of people unemployed. He demanded an immediate end to such actions against the medical stores.
