Three terrorists arrested in Faisalabad
LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Saturday claimed foiling a terrorism plan in Faisalabab with the arrest of three terrorists and recovery of explosives and weapons from them.
A spokesman for CTD said reliable information was received that three terrorists belonging to a proscribed organisation, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, with arms and explosives, were present near Banaspati Factory, Samundri Road, Faisalabad city.
The CTD personnel reached the place and arrested the terrorists identified as Walid Ahmed , Shahnawaz and Muhammad Amir. They were on their way to attack personnel of a Law Enforcement Agency. Explosives 4,350 gram, Saftey Fuse (27feet) and 3 detonators to make an Improvised Explosive Device were recovered from their possession along with two pistols and 12 bullets. A case has been registered with Police Station CTD Faisalabad.
