LAHORE: Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has sealed another 115 clinics of quacks during the last two days.
Nine cases were also registered against owners of eight medical stores and a laboratory for practising quackery and violating the relevant rules. Three cases were registered in Sialkot, two each in Pakpattan and Bahawalpur, one each in Toba Tek Singh and Nankana Sahab against owners of medical stores and a laboratory, respectively. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the PHC teams visited 355 treatment centres and closed down 115 businesses since these were run by quacks. The action was taken in different areas of 13 districts-Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahab, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Mandi Bahauddin, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi and Lahore.
