The aim of the conference is to provide platform for bringing together researchers, scientists and engineers from academia and industry to exchange their expertise and their research findings.
He said the Industrial Engineering was an emerging field and soon the landscape of industries would change in Pakistan, adding, it was important to learn from the best practices through such conferences.
The conference will further give an opportunity to the Scientists and Engineers to identify the problems in industrial engineering.
PEC Chairman Javed Saleem Qureshi was chief guest on the occasion. He urged the universities to get apace with latest developments and show improvement by introducing reforms in their governance, adding it was only universities and researchers which can change the destiny of Pakistan.
