Fake medicines

According to the drug testing laboratory in Punjab, 80 percent of drugs tested proved to be counterfeited. The healthcare department of the province is already in a deplorable state. The report issued by the relevant authorities sounds alarm bells for all those who are involved in the matter. The presence of fake medicines indicates that the health of so many people in our country is in jeopardy. The sale of fake medicines has gone practically unnoticed for a long time. This reflects the failure of those who are responsible for ensuring the health of our people.

Underprivileged communities are particularly vulnerable to this form of malpractice. This is because our elite class prefer to go abroad to get medical treatment. It has been observed that after the consumption of such substandard medicines, the health of people deteriorates even further. It is the need of the hour that the people who are involved in this terrible crime against humanity should be brought to book in a timely manner.
