‘Govts promoted capitalist economy’
LAHORE : Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Spokeperson Amir-ul-Azeem Saturday said previous governments had promoted capitalism through their economic policies raising inflation and price hike to the extent that poor and middle classes were unable to meet their basic needs.
Amir was addressing a ceremony of distributing dowry packages among sixty families including some Christian families by JI women wing. He said while government was creating economic and social problems for the masses, JI was trying to provide relief to the people in every possible way. He said while the rulers had failed to provide basic facilities of education, health and clean drinking water to people, JI was doing public service over and above consideration of cast, colour or creed.
He hoped in the coming elections nation would vote for patriotic and honest people who always stood by them in thick and thin. JI Lahore Ameer Zikr-ullah Mujahid also spoke on the occasion.
