CPEC summit, expo from tomorrow
KARACHI: A two-day China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Summit and Expo 2018 will start from Monday, April 23, a statement said.
The summit will highlight the visions of the governments of China and Pakistan for enhanced trade cooperation with the aim to drive regional peace, prosperity and economy, it added.
Dr. Ahsan Iqbal, federal minister for planning, development and reform, Dr Ishrat Husain, former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Dr Miftah Ismail, federal adviser on finance, revenue and economic affairs, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, former federal minister for finance, revenue and economic affairs, will address the summit on day one.
Sessions by chief ministers of Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan on day two will focus on CPEC-related projects progress, planning and development, energy, transportation, infrastructure, mining, ports and shipping and special initiatives for investors to establish industries in their provinces, it added.
