ZTBL hammer CDA by 304 runs

ISLAMABAD: ZTBL achieved another big win in the Patron’s Trophy Grade II, this time outplaying CDA by 304 runs at Pindi Stadium on Saturday.
CDA were bowled out for 168 with Mohammad Ali taking five wickets for 41 runs. Touseef Babar (42) was the highest run-getter for CDA.
Earlier, ZTBL declared their second innings close at 210-3 with Shakeel Ansar remaining 101 not out. Set to score 472 to win, CDA were bowled out for 168.
Scores in brief: At Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi: ZTBL 445-4 in 83 overs (Saad Ullah Ghauri 180, Mohsin Nadeem 128, Muhammad Amir 61 not out, Usman Ashraf 56 not out; Umar Khan 2-76) and 210-3 in 40.4 overs (Shakeel Ansar 101 not out, Muhammad Amir 58, Saadullah Ghauri 36; Azam Khan 2-34). CDA 183-10 in 63.1 overs (Naved Malik 92, Naseerullah 45; Hamza Nadeem 5-54, Muhammad Ali 2-22, Bilawal Iqbal 2-25) and 168-10 in 40.5 overs (Touseef Babar 42, Usman Ali 31, Umar Kiyani 25, Aamir Jamal 23; Muhammad Ali 5-41, Hamza Nadem 2-20, Saad Nasim 2-55). Result: ZTBL won by 304 runs.
At Army Ground, Rawalpindi: OGDCL 107-10 in 49.4 overs (Syed Muzammil Shah 30; Muzaffar Iqbal 8-29) and 232-10 in 69.4 overs (Waqar Khan 66 not out, Sohail Ahmed 32, Moeid Shaikh 24; Muzaffar Iqbal 5-71, M. Awais Zafar 2-48). Army 268-10 in 66 overs (Muzaffar Iqbal 66, M Miqdad Hussain 43, Khadim Jan 41, M Awais Zafar 39, Muhammad Atif 34; Sajid Rehman 3-54, Sohail Ahmed 2-47, Muhammad Arham 2-67) and 74-0 in 15.4 overs (Abdullah 46 not out; Muhammad Tanvir 23 not out). Result: Army won by 10 wickets.
