Woman held for killing husband

Islamabad: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police has arrested a woman allegedly involved in murder of her husband along with three other accomplices.

According to details, Raja Nasir Raza lodged the report with Loi Bher Police Station on February 22, 2018 that his cousin, Raja Yasir Murtaza Advcoate residing in Pakistan Town along with family has been missing. He informed the police that he left the house on car (AEG-854) and none of his friend had any information about him since then. Police registered the case following which the body of Raja Yasir Murtaza was found from green belt of Bani Gala area on February 23, 2018 with bullet marks.

Following this incident, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri assigned the task to Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najeeb ur Rehman Bugvi to ensure arrest of the perpetrators of this act. He constituted a team under supervision of SP (Investigation) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh which also included Inspectors Homicide Unit Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Arshad, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal, ASI Fakhar Abbass and others. This team started investigation and suspected Saima Javed, wife of the deceased for involvement in this crime. They started monitoring her and during the preliminary investigation after her arrest found out that she along with a person, Shahid, took Raja Yasir Murtaza, forcibly to the Bani Gala area and shot him dead.

They abandoned the car in the area of Sadiqabad Police Station and fled. Police recovered 30 bore pistol used as murder tool and arrested Shahid and two other accomplices identified as Saqlain and Waseem. SSP (Operations) Najeeb ur Rehman Bugvi has appreciated this performance of homicide unit and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for members of the police team.
